I always like the khaki/gold, but thought it should have been paired with the lighter blue not the navy. Something like what UCLA wears, couldn't find a soccer image to represent it though.
Got my email notification about the new kit with a photoshoped picture of Vincent and thought for a minute we were going with the all- black and we had picked up New Zealand Rugby for a sponsor.
As someone else guessed earlier this jersey is most likely the Adidas Condivo 16. Hard to tell with the Noguiera pic if the v neck is the Chicago style simple v or the RSL "modern polo" a la Spain's new Euro 2016.
Can we just keep the black shirt? Throw a bimbo logo on there, a black and white Union crest, and a number on the back. I'd be fine with that.
Well, make it the fancy moisture wicking stuff. The Union are cheap, but not THAT cheap. It only costs like an extra $0.47 to make.
I am going to have to call in a friend of mine who is an expert on Hanes cotton tees and other garments.
This is not real, and doesn't feel right without the centre stripe anyway. http://copa90.com/new-balance-mls-kits-are-beautiful/
I'm ok without the center stripe. I never really got the fascination with it and it will look bad with any logo because the stripe will just be cut in half or look like a bumper sticker. The bimbo logo looks a million times better on this jersey. Obviously our FO wanted to build a brand and have a trademark look but perhaps they need to start over seeing how we're continuing to try and distance ourselves from the previous years. They could also do more with the stripe. It hasn't varied at all except to use a single color or toilet paper pattern with the same width.
Generally when you have a trademark look you try not to drastically alter it. This is why the Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, & Sixers have rarely changed their look over the years.
The center stripe/sponsor logo would work better if they made the stripe wider (like Ajax) ... ... narrower (like PSG) ... ... or gradated (like Barca, my personal preference).
