You know how some people get a Wayne Dyer or Deepka Chopra calendar so that each day they can tear off a new leave and get some little bit of encouragement to start their day? Stuff like, "You are worthy and good", etc.? Well, I think I need a Soccer Silicon Valley calendar. Instead of scouring the board for encouraging posts by helmet or tonyho1, or waiting for the latest bracing, forward looking email, I could just tear off yesterday's thought and read something like: "Don't worry. There are things going on behind the scenes that we can't elaborate. Trust us. There will be soccer." or "There have been many encouraging developments. Things are moving along. If you have $300 million dollars, please call our office." This bit of daily reassurance would do wonders for me each morning--and would be a nifty fund raising idea. What else could the calendar say?
Nov 4th: Seek the first possible opportunity to act on every good resolution you make. William Jones Nov 5th: To live with all my might while I do live and never to lose one moment of time. Jonathan Edwards Nov 6th: One person with a belief is equal to a force of ninety-nine who have only interests. John Stuart Mill
Wrong Calendar. That quote is from the "Creationists' Inspirational Election Year Calendar 2004" Though they might have switched the word "interests" with "facts."
Though your work is hard and your rewards are few... Always remember that the mighty oak was once a nut like you.
Think only of the best...Work only for the best and expect only the best...We deserve nothing less. How's that for today?
This sort of gloom is reserved for a Tuesday in Feburary. If you want a Satruday in May you're going to have to be a lot sunnier...
Not gloom....I was just taking responsibility for that loss......I should have believed al little less over-the-top.....we'd be headed to HDC for #3.
