US off to another slow start. So far Honduras has looked better but is hacking. This ref is out of his level. Finally see what a sell out Looks like in Dallas.
Knew it was going to be a dog fight, but damn that was ugly. Really surprised nobody was carried off or red carded. Zusi was almost goat of the match.
Andy Najar was a joy to watch. Timmy Chandler is not good going forward. Yedlin is developing into a pretty nice player.
Didn't like the personnel with that set up if I'm being honest. Honduras bossed long stretches of that match and at the end of the first half, I felt it was only a matter of time before they were to score. Fortunately Dempsey showed up this game or we'd have drawn or potentially lost this one.
YES! where the hell is that team? 13 different backline pairings in 15 games and it freaking shows. Thought Zusi had a very poor game. Bradley definitely needs Beckerman. Zardes looks better than Altidore right now.
Hey remember me? The guy who coined the term "tactical terrorist" for the current USMNT manager. Shows you the difference between a friendly where you can bring in 6 fresh legged subs and a tournament where you have to define a fluid game plan with 14 players max.
Jamaica finally scores. Barnes has been decent. Interesting to see Hainault, Barnes, Watson, and Taylor on the field at BBVA.
Enjoyed every second of that game! The Giants of CONCACAF could not get one past the Guatemal-peores! The Fish Flopper was out there and up to his old tricks. So I was not rooting for Guatemala to win but just ruin Mexico and their neurotic fans aspirations! HAHA!!!
Wow, I expected so much more from Honduras. They bombed out big time. Hat's off to Haiti though. Well at least Boniek and Garrido will be coming back well rested.
Klinsmann made some changes to the Gold Cup Roster: Beasley comes in for Greg Garza, Corona for Alfredo Morales and Gordon for Jozy Altidore.
This was the best part of the tournament for me. 12 years ago Gold Cup games with the USA felt like road games.
