Pro tip: If you haven't gotten your tickets and want to go, go to prime sports . Com or install the app. Cheapest ticket is $135 but it's a front row in the upper deck... And it's also a package that includes a pre game event with 2 free drinks. I used this app for the NCAA championship game and on game day, they released tickets without the "event" and got to see the NCAA championship from center court in the 600s for $60 when those tickets were still on stub hub for $150. And I'm not mad about the prices. It's the SEMI FINAL to COPA AMERICA...but I'm also not mad because I'm in AO and paid $135 to sit in row D right behind goal.....
Not sure what Venezuela was trying to prove with that PK down 2-0. That was their best chance to get back into the game.
From the highlights it looked like Ochoa had a horrible game, rebounds galore. The D wasn't much better. I really don't get the rotation of gk. Seems like if your gk is playing well you shouldn't mess with them.
I'm hoping the large number of neutrals and/or Mexican fans at the Houston Semi-final will support the underdog USA. I think that is highly plausible. What is a longer-shot is my USMNT pulling off the upset. But was Spain less of a favorite in 2009? #Ibelieve!
HAHAHA, this absolutely fits into my narrative!!!!! Particularly after the humiliating bring-me-down-to-reality-from-my-arrogant-best-in-the-World-attitude FACE SLAP!!! 7-0 HAHAHAHA!!!!!
And my US team doesn't waste chances to rub salt in the wounds!!!! hahahahaha!!! 7-0!!!! We’re proud to represent @CONCACAF in the #CopaAmerica semifinals.— U.S. Soccer Men's National Team (@USMNT) June 19, 2016
This reminds me of a USMNT WCQ game a few years back I was watching in a bar. Big crowd of US fans with a few from the other side. It was like Honduras or El Salvador or something like that. There was a loud supporter for the opponents, wearing his team shirt, talking smack the whole game loudly as the US struggled. A late goal rescued the US knocking his team out and he immediately removed his shirt -- exposing a US jersey underneath and started leading the chant "USA, USA, USA." Laughing the whole time.
Hahaha, no doubt. Ive seen that too. I myself am enjoying these days harrassing all my Mexican friends. 7-0, 7-0!!! I suspect they will be doing the same on Wednesday after Argentina demolishes the US.
Nah, when you have a team you care for no one else matters. Only small-minded fanbases with shitty local teams care what their regional rivals do or don't do.
So on another note....the secondary market prices have been going up not down. I'm hoping people dump tickets tomorrow or I may be watching this at home.
Tried to get AO tickets but those things sold out QUICK!!! Now I am stuck waiting on the last minute re-sellers to get desperate - Thanks for the tip - Installing now!
I would be the happiest man on earth if the USA pulls an upset. I just don't think we have the players that can do the job. At a minimum I don't want us to lose by 7 goals.
Well Hydro. Don't lose the game before you play it. Look, I consider ARgentina and Chile to be way better than our team. I'm not sure I would select one player off our team over their first choice player. But the same was true of Spain in '09. And of Mexico in many games (though we usually have one or two I would take over the Mexican option.) I believe it can happen. Futbol gives big underdogs a chance if they play like a team. One thing I love about this game. Think back to the last time the Dynamo were in the playoffs. We had no business beating NYRB in that playoff series. But we did. (And the reverse is true in 2008.) I believe we can win! And if we don't I'll be hoping we make a game of it.
Prices dropping a bit every hour. They've peaked and coming down. Tomorrow about mid day the dumpers will price them down
Many of these are most likely professional scalpers who purchased a lot of tickets. They probably have already made a profit with the ones they sold and they can either sell them at a small profit, or they may just keep the tickets and go to the game, who knows. Then again, if I had bought good seats for $100 each, and could sell them for $500 each, I'd be making a buck too. Really, nosebleed seats are terrible options at this stadium. To anybody who is lucky enough to go to the game, hope you have a great time, and hope you see a US win!!!!
I was expecting prices to drop a little faster today....people are really holding out. There are 2900 tickets on Stubhub and sec 600 is still $138+fees
They definitely are dropping though overall - Guy was selling 4 tickets midfield row B for 175 each. Those were 300 - 500 yesterday.
