We are looking to start a Houston (surrounding areas also) Chapter of the American Outlaws (AO). They are a supporters group of the USMNT. I know that there are members of AO in Houston but we have yet to organize. We need 25 current members to become an official chapter of the group. I believe that we could easily get that here within our fan base. We are hoping to have a chapter set up before the US vs Hondorus game in Chicago. There are already over 30 people with plane tickets bought for the Chicago game. The Dynamo play against the Fire in Chicago on Friday 6-5-09 and the USMNT on Saturday 6-6-09. This is a great chance to see two of our favorite teams playing in one weekend. If we could get all members of AO in the Houston area to list themselves it would help in getting the count. People wanting to to join go to the AO website. The membership cost $15 which comes with a t-shirt, bandanna and access to discounted pre-sale tickets to USMNT games.
Re: Houston Chapter of American Outlaws Sorry MODS if this is in the wrong place. I wasn't sure where to put this. Move it to where ever this thing needs to go.
Re: Houston Chapter of American Outlaws I think both groups have a website Canuck. Did anyone meet the Outlaws of America when Houston hosted the U.S.A vs Mexico friendly at Reliant last year? You did didn't you gunner? I got distracted by the beer, U.S. chants and the hottie lil' mama models Nike had hired to walk around in U.S. gear.
I met them at MLS cup 2007, they seem to have their heads out of their asses and headed in a coherent direction. I like their outlook and goals and hope that they succeed It is fine, just remember to title things with a [NDR] if they do not have to do with the Dynamo.
Re: Houston Chapter of American Outlaws Yep, I met them alright. Pretty good guys. It is a bit of a younger crowd so that appealed to me. With a little Houston influence in the organization it could only get better.
I signed up but I think you guys need to tell them that I am a part of the Houston Chapter or they won't know -- since I'm in Austin. Same name as on here.
Looks like we are on the right track with the names added today at the various sites, but anyone that wants to support the Red, White and Blue they way they should be is welcome to join.
Re: Houston Chapter of American Outlaws The fee to join American Outlaws is $15 which includes an American Outlaws Tee Shirt and US Flag Bandanna. You also get discounted USNT tickets. My Tee and Bandanna came in today - about 5 days after joining
Come join the Houston members of American Outlaws cheer on the US against El Salvador at the Mezzanine Lounge (HWY 59 and Greenbriar). The Texian Army will hosting the party. The game starts at 8PM. The Dynamo will then play San Jose at 9:30. Its a great way to see how it will be in Chicago in June. Lets see how good you are at watching two important games at the same time for 30 min.
I'll sign up but only if the Outlaws will change their standard chant/song to "GOALS, GOALS, GOALS FOR THE RED, WHITE & BLUE . . . GOALS, GOALS, GOALS FOR THE RED, WHITE & BLUE!!!
EB has it's own USA SG aka "American Mutts" 25 members strong . THe Offical USA Vs El Salvador / DYNAMO vs SAn Jose matches will be held at El Salon de Wheels. Good luck on setting up your A.O chapter Sam.
Great showing guys. Over all there were 62 people at the Mezz watching the USA game on the patio and downstairs. Not all were AO, but we will count them in the total for the game. The US pulled in the late equalizer to save some face from the game. We have another game coming up this Wednesday. The USMNT will be taking on Trinidad & Tobago starting at 6:30pm Central. AO will be watching the game at the Mezz. Everyone come over after work and blow off that steam for a midweek game.
The American Outlaws along with the Texian Army are going to be at the Mezzanine again this Wednesday to watch USA vs Trinidad & Tobago. Game starts at 6:30PM. Game will be upstairs with in HD and sound. Everyone is welcome to come hang out with other US fans and cheer our boys on.
