It is time! Here is my pick starting with Sweet 16 Midwest: 16 Lou Stlouis Mich St Duke 8 Lou Mich St 4 Louiville West: 16 Zag Wisc Ariz OSU 8 Wisc (I think zag are overrated and played easy schedule) OSU 4 OSU South 16 Kansas VCU UCLA Georgetown 8 Kansas UCLA 4 Kansas East 16 Indiana Syrucs Butler Miami 8 Indiana Miami 4 Miami Final Four! Louv OSU Kansas Miami Final Two: OSU Miami Cutting down the net on ladder: Miami! ACC!!! Dude, they are just unstoppable lately and beating all of the good ACC teams.
Buh-bye, Gonzaga and Butler! I'm hoping Louisville can get it done this time. That would make for great media hype- Pitino would be the only man to win titles at the two biggest programs in the biggest college basketball state. And I'm still somewhat fond of Louisville for disemboweling Duke in a final years ago. Anybody who can send Coach K(ombover) home is a pal.
You guys have more titles than any other two programs combined so long as neither of the two is Kentucky. And you've won in the last 20 seasons. I see no reason for big picture disappointment.
I know you are trying to look at the positive side, and I cannot hate on that. But, if anything, your reasons also fuel my disappointment even further. I had a argument about Howland, and I am glad that he is fired. On the contrary, my friend was saying that he took us to multiple final fours. Nonetheless, just like Kentucky, with a high profile coach, with an awesome recruitment, and with experience, these teams should have done more this year. Howland is actually getting worse and worse, and that does not give me any confidence at all.
Aw you guys made me lose that bracket. I had St Louie moving forward. Well in that case, I hope for another upset and you guys beat Louisville.
I don't think the two situations are the same. I completely understand that UCLA should have done better, but I think Calipari's problem is that he had too much NBA-ready talent last year. The guys who had most of the playing time in 2011-12 are in the NBA now, and this season's upperclassmen (last season's backups) not only have very little experience, they weren't as good as the 2012-13 freshmen. If most of these current Kentucky freshmen stay (which they should- they're not ready yet), I'll look for Big Bluegrass to make another run next season.
Ugly. I just saw a gif of it. What a great match between the orangemen and louieville... both hot teams.
