National Team Named for match vs Albania

Postiga and Quaresma will be playing for the U21s on the 10th.

The biggest story out of this selection is the long overdue inclusion of Ricardo Carlvalho, who has been the best central defender in the SuperLiga for the past two years but has never earned a call-up to the seleccao. While I am excited to see what he can do at this level, I don’t disagree with replacing Fernando Meira for Carvalho. I would have left off Couto, who is 34 years old and now only a part-time starter for Lazio.

R tell's people that scorer's are been post so they stay away in case they want to see the game at later date, tape etc.

Roy,

You would put an (R) in the title if you are going to be speaking directly about the results of a game. We do this, so people who may be taping a game will know to avoid your thread so as not to spoil the result for them. The other thing you want to do is avoid giving away the result in a title. For example, after Portugal lost to Spain, you would not want to have a title that read “Portugal Sucks” or “What is wrong the team under Scolari”.

If you are discussing a game you would want to have a headline like this “10/11 – Portugal – Albania (R).

I would recommend making another thread like this one when people are discussing the game. I would also say that the naming of the squad can be considered a different topic, so no (R) is really needed.
