He'll be up against Ruka and Djite for that other forward spot...and Ruka has a big advantage being arguably the quickest in our squad and a good bench option.

Very good signs though. For most of last year it looked like he dropped off the face of the Earth, glad to see things coming together for him.

Burns and Ruka can both play wide left as well, I think Djite has missed the boat, but I also think Ruka still has they advantage as you said, and is also putting goals away at the moment.

I think we can forget about Djite ever reaching any great heights TBH. Burns has definitely got potential though.

Djite still could easily have a long and successful career in the A-League

probably moving into a different thread now but for what it's worth i think bruce is probably developing a different side of his game and he'll develop in about 2 years time. He'll be in brazil come 2014 mark my words.

Weird article. The only person who didn't rate Burns was Arnie.

If the coach really did say that and really does want him back at the club, it's good to hear that Burns is progressing. That's all we can really ask of our younger players...keep progressing and playing at higher levels.

Well hopefully he can crack into the first team at AEK this year & really kick start his career. His performances here in oz over the past week certainly haven't done him any harm to get in the coaches good books.

On a side note, as well as he played in those games, did anyone else find the over the top Burns fap commentary a bit cringeworthy? Lol

Didn't see the game but was apparently very lively against Hajduk Split - read he earned a pen and had a hand in another goal.

Thank God his game is starting to come together over there :)

Probably should have come back a bit earlier. Will be interesting to see how his game is these days, I haven't really seen much of him since he left (probably due to the fact there hasn't been much to see) apart from the odd AEK highlight and the Festival of Football. Still sign him up though.

Any update on how Burnsy's talks are going? He was such a great talent when he started off at Adelaide United and it's a pity it's most likely been wasted now :(

    Will probably go back home.

Incheon United did not include his name in the season squad.
