Pro/rel will never happen. MLS will never approve anything that damaged their league and their clubs. USSF tries to puill that stunt lawsuits will come flying. You can't do anything that intentionally damages the clubs and the league they play in.
Hey people, I keep coming here expecting something has happened with the NASL. Can we find another place for the politics?
PRFC breaks their silence. http://www.puertoricofc.com/news/20...hard-to-see-our-team-take-the-field-this-year
#NASL sources telling me that Miami FC is not allowing its players to take up opportunities to sign elsewhere in 2018 despite no firm plan to play before August. Both NY Cosmos and Jax Armada have left decision firmly in players’ hands.— Jeff Rueter (@jeffrueter) January 26, 2018
As the days pass it’s likely looking less and less likely NASL will play this year. The Cosmos and PR are the only ones who haven’t jumped ship at this point.
That's bullshit man. Fcuk Graber and his todie Gluati. They're killing the game in America!!!!111!!oneoneone
NPSL's season ends during July. NASL's pie-in-the-sky August start would still be possible logistically (if not realistically).
This should be 'fun'. "Okay, we appreciate your professional squad relocating to the NPSL. Now, we'll be able to start as soon as our goalkeeper gets off work, and we dress 11 guys. You guys can change in the groundskeeper shed over there. And some of our supporters have donated lawnchairs so your staff can have a place to sit during the match."
My Sarcasm Meter just went into the red..... ----------------------------------------------------------- At this point i just wish the damn courts would put this crap out of it's misery and rule against NASL, so they can die a proper death. Then we can all move forward.
In many ways I think that their not making a summary decision as requested has the same effect. All they are doing is making NASL bleed more before the final blow is delivered.
Hey Mods, when are you going to move NCFC, Indy, and Edmonton off the NASL forum to the USL and Canada forums? Kickoff is only a few weeks away...
It can take the mods awhile to catch up to such developments. Take a look at the Premier League Clubs forum. Both Aston Villa and Sunderland still have sub-forums there.
I always wanted to start a basketball team named the Washington Specifics to lose a coin toss against the Generals every night for the right to lose to the Globetrotters.
Armada officially announce move to NPSL. Jacksonville Armada FC Owner Robert Palmer issued a statement today regarding the club's league. ➡️ https://t.co/Sq0Zqiuw1D pic.twitter.com/IIvYndkNRG— Jacksonville Armada FC (@JaxArmadaFC) January 30, 2018 Palmer is apparently looking at unsanctioned leagues. My hope is to play under USSF via NASL in fallIn case there are no USSF options, I have really smart people exploring the pros and cons of being outside of USSFWe're talking to players/agents, coaches, fans, sponsors to understand what it would really look like#DivisionZero— Robert Palmer (@rp_robertpalmer) January 31, 2018 Does Palmer have a BS account? I will absolutely publish the findings, even if we don't end up going that route (I hope we don't have to)60-90 Days is my expectation to have findings— Robert Palmer (@rp_robertpalmer) January 31, 2018
Remember, everyone: USSF sanctioning as a division II league is so important that it's denial is part of an illegal conspiracy that will destroy our business, so much so that we won't even apply as a division III, as we were invited to; but No sanctioning at all is also fine.
In quasi-NASL news, Hope Solo's "complaint" to USOC about USSF having conflict of interest apparently was sent using Rocco's companies legal reps. Trying to find case law in USOC complaints like this is tough. Most cases revolve around improper grievance procedures. Not sure why big-time Baker Botts m&a attorney would take case like this. Connection: he represents Mediacom, Rocco Commisso’s cable company.— Paul Kennedy (@pkedit) January 31, 2018 Hope Solo is here for the irony ... even if she doesn't realize it.
If they want to look for an unsactioned league, then they need look no further than the Canadian Soccer League. http://canadiansoccerleague.ca/ They lost sanctioning from the CSA and OSA once League 1 Ontario came into being. They have some issues with matchfixing. https://www.thestar.com/news/canada...-soccer-league-a-hotspot-of-match-fixing.html
