Here's the link: http://www.empireofsoccer.com/savarese-dynamo-coaching-30424/ According to one source, the Dynamo were “flabbergasted” by the outright rejection. Nevertheless, it does little to deter their search, which is said to be moving on as planned.

Return of the Aztecs? http://m.indyweek.com/sports/archiv...soccer-league-poised-to-announce-la-expansion I really don't like the joining in the fall season thing...
Great discussion doing on here: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/nasl-la-oc-expansion-thread.2013766/
Just another example of the NASL trying to keep MLS down. We saw this in New York too. The NASL's expansion policy is entirely based on snuffing out any MLS competition. The NASL is bad for American soccer!
Neither do I, but it does seem preferable to waiting until the following spring, assuming they can get up and operational in time.
Easy, 2nd largest market in the USA. I mean theoretically LA is one of maybe 3 markets in the USA that should be able to support both a MLS and NASL team. The others being New York and Chicago
New York, well Long Island, isn't really supporting the Cosmos. The OC/LA Blues have often had more people on the bench than in the stands the past three years. The larger the market, the less likely they are to care and support a minor league soccer team. You are basically asking to be ignored, not only with a MLS team in the market, but numerous other sports taking attention. But hey, it won't be my money flying out the window, so whatever.
Silverbacks will play in 2015 and be run by the league. http://www.nasl.com/article/uuid/in...-silverbacks-set-to-play-in-2015#.VH4IjDHF_4t
Makes sense. The NASL needs 10 teams next year, and 12 by the following year, to meet the USSF D2 guidelines. If they're really planning Canadian expansion, they'll need more US-based teams as well. Atlanta drew pretty well this year, so it's not propping up a Chivas USA-style fan failure. Atlanta is a cushion against someone else going belly-up, and it sends a signal to potential investors that the league is able to keep things stable from year to year. And there's two more seasons before MLS shows up; anything MLS does in the meantime will drive soccer interest, which means NASL interest. Once 2017 rolls around, the league can decide what to do--sell the Silverbacks name to Blank if he wants it, sell the team to Blank to be MLSATL2 in USL Pro, move the team, quietly fold, or find an owner willing to stay in Atlanta with a business plan that would let them coexist with MLS.
So is this an offseason gig or did the Scorpions drop Hassli? Eric Hassli sighting! #MASL pic.twitter.com/77MAoMIg39— BSS (@bestsoccershow) December 2, 2014
Ronaldo a minority owner with Ft. Lauderdale Strikers. Functionally, not really important but it is good for the young league to have ties to well known names for publicity. http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2014/12/11/ronaldo-fort-lauderdale-strikers-nasl-brazil
Agreed... Seems like the only soccer news coming out of South Florida these days are related to the Strikers.
