We know Allan is gone, so that's why I believe it's the most important position required. Sorry, but Labotka is not good enough to cover for those two. So, if Zie and Fabian are cemented left and right, we need a top notch midfielder to anchor the middle of the park. That is all assuming if 4-3-3 is the formation going forward. IMHO, this team is more built for a 4-2-3-1 right now, and we've seen Gattuso use it.

    Gattuso’s system is 4-3-3.

We need to have 6 midfielders with Allan leaving we have 5. Lobotka and Demme are in the middle position so any new midfielder will more be like Fabian, Zielinski, Elmas.

Gattuso plays a system with more defensive wingbacks and his holding midfielder is not a Jorginho but a ball winner.

You play someone more physical or a box to box player we lose even more creativity. we already struggle to score.

We need a top right winger and a creative player instead of Allan.

If we're looking for a true metronome player then we should consider Locatelli who quietly had a great season at Sassuolo. I know that Juventus have been trying to sign him as Tonali has an agreement with Inter

ADL has made it clear he's not giving any discounts for K2. 100 million or nothing.

Safe to say he doesn't want to sell as no one in world football right now, not even the big money teams can afford a 29 year old CB.If K2 was 22-23 years old, maybe

Multiple reports say that Napoli have all the agreements for Gabriel and they are waiting for k2 to be sold to announce the signing. If this is true, Napoli have to sell K2. We can’t have 5 cbs

This team cannot defend, nor score, with it's current 4-3-3 player setup.

I am not saying I like it. I am realistic about what Gattuso will do.

I think we end up at 70 and spend 25 million on Gabriel

Based on rumors this is how we could look like

    Insigne/BOGA - Osimhen/Mertens - Lozano/Politano

    Zielinski/Elmas - Lobotka/Demme - Fabian/???

    REQUILON/Rui - GABRIEL/Rrahmani - Manolas/Maksimovic - Di Lorenzo/Hysaj

    Meret/????

I think with Requilon and Boga and if we get a good midfielder that can also provide balance on the tight and play further up we will be fine.

I am ok if we get Pellegrini too.

Too expensive for us to keep him as sub for Osimhen and Mertens. Makes little sense without CL to have 3 for one spot.

It also seems Gabriel’s family started following Arsenal on social media. It is a shame but I doubt we get him.

I think Romero is an option. Not sure how good he really is.

How do people feel about Berna?

Mertens, Osimhen, and Petagna are all different players. Mertens is a supporting player who can play lone striker or wing. Osimhen is billed as a center forward but he has shown he can play anywhere including the right. Petagna is a box striker #9. I think it’s good programming.

IMO Gattuso relies on rotating 4 regulars : Insigne, Mertens, Osimhen and a new player (Hopefully Boga) and has two players as support/ Spares Petagna and Politano

    Lozano, Younes and Ounas out

Romero is ok. He had a good year when Juve bought him.

Bernadeschi isn’t good at all. There’s a reason Juve are trying to send him anywhere

But that completely weakens the right side. Even Mertens and Boga are left.

Petagna is bot good enough. I rather we keep Lozano or Younes.

Also looks like Reguilon and Gabriel will not happen.

ADL always gets one transfer early. We know the rest.

Yes. Not good enough to be a starter, but good enough as a role player

We need a proper winger and not some dubious subs

I'm not sure any anchor can cover for ruiz and Zielinski if we want to play high up the pitch.
Those two need to change their attitude. Especially zielinski who isnt as good going forward at his current level.

Rui is a question mark for me, in periods of the match he can be our best player, at the same time he will do something dumb and cost us a goal.

I honestly think we just need a better manager, someone less lenient than Gattuso. Can't believe I'm saying that.
It's like with Gattuso, it's fully OK that especially attacking players shouldn't work as hard

Allan is in advanced negotiation with Everton and there is a summit meeting between Napoli and k2’s agent to discuss his sale. Gabriel’s move is on standby until Koulibaly is sold. I don’t know how smart that is

    Transfer updates:

    - According to reports we have an agreement with Regulion. Now it's just up to Napoli and Real to strike a deal. Real want to sell for 20-25. Napoli want to give 15. I was impressed with Regulion in the last two EL games. Looking forward to the match with Man U

    - Napoli have put Ghoulam's price tag at 10 million. Cagliari is said to be interested.

    - Out of nowhere, Napoli are considering selling Maksimovic. Maksi has one year left on his contract and Napoli are not offering a new contract. I don't think this is a bad idea. He had a good resurgence under Ancelotti and Gattuso, but he isn't untouchable.

    - Reports from Verona are that Napoli are negotiating to get Davide Faraoni

    - Just heard on radiogold that Napoli have set Boga as one of their priority objectives. Boga wants to come to play in Naples. Lots of talk on whether or not he fits in the team, or whether or not he can play on the right. To that I say who cares. Sign him and figure it out. He's already better than Lozano, Politano, Younes, and Ounas

    - Milik to Juve is completely on hold as the strategies of Pirlo are not yet known. Rumors that Juventus find his price tag too high (that is true) and they might be looking for new options in the #9 position.
