A game that should have ended 5-1 we managed to play 2-2. Lobotka, anguissa and Osimhen should all have scored on their 1v1 with the gk, the fact that none of them did is just very unlucky.
Roma started very conservative. DDR rated more highly than we deserved to be rated at this point. I didn't like how isolated Osi was for most of the 1st half. He had zero support when he got on us the front foot. We too were afraid to get numbers forwards. In the 2nd half, they decided to have a go at us. The game opened up. On the balance of play, we really should have won, but we struggled to convert chances.
Udinese left almost 0 space, but we do also pass slowly when the chance to exploit space occurs. At least we look solid in defence
Hopefully we will get a coach soon who knows how to coach top teams. Why are we standing so defensive for the entire match? If Udinese use 3-5 players just marking osimhen, why in the Hell is Calzona making 9 of our onfield players stay back?! Its the same problem this entire season, Osimhen is alone up front with wingers and midfielders standing in Merets box marking ghosts. Would it hurt keeping a winger or midfielder upfield when the opponent pose 0 threat?
