To be fair, of the four "Cities" in MLS now, three of them make complete sense - only Orlando City has "City" in the name for no obvious reason - and no other places currently in the league could conceivably use "City" in the same way.
I'm fine with the crest design and the name of the team. I wish the blue were a little bit lighter than it is since it almost looks like it's black. Then again, when I think about the Doobie Brothers hit 'Black Water', the St. Louis color scheme makes sense because the Mississippi River is certainly not 'sparkling blue' except for the upper reaches around Minnesota and maybe Wisconsin. Too bad the team's start date was pushed back to 2023. With the new logo, design, and colors, I'm ready to see this team in action even if it's at a temporary stadium.
Gimme that Arch kit now! X-D But honestly all of those suggestions are pretty cool. I really like how the hoops kit has each hoop bordered by that dash of yellow.
Yes, please on the arch. Second choice would be the abstract logo design. Not wild about the others. I know it's just speculation, but didn't the league ask them to look for outside sponsorship? So no Enterprise or World Wide Technology on the shirts?
1950 sash by all means! As good as some of those mock-ups look (Flamengo would stand out in this league) it would be such a miss for a St Louis team - looking to emphasize the city's deep soccer history - to take a pass on that sash.
