anyone have any info on this kid? sounds like a decent play for U of M. Teammate of Knox Cameron. He has 24 goals and 12 assists and is a junior. Comperable to that of Knox who has 26 goals and 15 assists and is also a junior. this kid a-league material? maybe MLS?
To be clear, the numbers firstshirt listed are Turpin's career numbers, accomplished in 55 games. This year, Turpin has 11 goals and three helpers in 17 games. (Cameron, btw, has 26 career goals and 15 career assists in 50 career games and 11 and 9 in 17 this year.) As for his pro potential, hard to say. I'm sure he ges a lot of space because of the attention that Cameron draws and that helps him put up good numbers. He's not as big as Cameron (few are) but he is a good athlete with a decent nose for the goal - he also had good numbers this summer in the PDL. The good news for him is that there will be two new teams after his senior year and that will open up a lot of roster spots and help his chances. We shall see.
I've seen them both play about 7-8 times (although not once this year, which is pathetic since I live within a half mile of UM's field), and I've always thought Turpin was as dangerous as Knox. I've twice seen him make a move that made a defender fall to the ground. I think they'll both end up in MLS (and I agree - the proposed expansion helps).
Sorry about bumping a 4-year old thread, but I was wondering if anyone knew what he's doing now a days? He seemed to have a lot of potential, so wasn't sure if he was still playing.

I had seen him play with the Bucks a few times, he was my camp counseler, so that's how I knew of him. Just wondering if he was still playing, guess not. Thanks though.
