Sitting here in Riga, Latvia on the sunny shores of the Baltic Sea (really the Bay of Riga). Still supporting United til the end, but seriously considering attending the home leg of the Latvia - Turkey Euro 2004 playoff. Just got dsl here and sucessfully defended the new laptop from Blaster, so I hope I'll be able to check in on the best board on BS (a compliment? you decide) from time to time. On United! Skippy
I'll be in Bulgaria from mid-November until next summer. Latvia is probably a little farther as the crows flies, but psychologically I'll be a world away. DSL? Hehe. I'll be taking a half-hour bus ride to the next town to use a dial-up PC at an internet cafe...
Who's the fellow - I think his name starts with an M - who is from Switzerland and is a huge Marco Etcheverry fan? He's traveled all over the world to seek Marco play - Bolivia, Brazil, MLS Cups, etc.
Somebody's gotta get Skippy some DC United stickers or pins or scarves--something! I love the thought of our logo proudly displayed on the Baltic coast. If I lived in DC, I'd do it.
I kept following DC while I living in the Netherlands 2 years ago. Even kept track of the games while I was in Spain and Italy. Nothing will stop a diehard fan from following his team.
I can beat it Ok, you win now, but I was living in Kharkiv, Ukraine for the last 3 years. Now I live in Pheonix (only for a year). I made one game this season with my brother. Great experience! I'm originally from Williamsburg, Va. People in the bars in Kharkov used to tell me about Dema Kovalenko who played for Chicago. Now we've got him!
