The Kansas Coliseum, home of the Wings, has always been a tough place to carve out a road win for any team in the MISL. Dallas has not had much luck in their history either. The Sidekicks and Wings are not fairing well during this season and both are in real trouble to make the playoffs. The Wings are led by Chico Borja and Dale Ervine but also have a couple of budding stars in Brad Smith and Goran Hunjak. I got to meet Brad in Vegas last summer for the 40th MISL Reunion shindig. Cool guy, and was originally a running back in football. He had several offers to play college football but instead went the professional soccer route. Glad he did! The Sidekicks will need some others to step up offensively to help Tatu if they want to clip the Wings. There is some great chatter in this one regarding the US National Team, the firing of USA’s head coach Bob Gansler and his indifference to the great players of the MSL, as they are at this point the de facto premier soccer league in the United States. Remember, they have taken out the I in MISL to enforce this idea, in the run to supply players for the upcoming World Cup in 1994.

    Enjoy!
