also, it would give us a reason to carry shovels around to the games.

tailgates would be "embalming sessions"

and really, who wants to make an appt to go see the undertaker?


i'm sure you can see the benefit of using a name such as this.

EDIT:
Sidenote: I'm willing to bet almost everyone who is a fan of "Philadelphia Union" deep down likes Philadelphia United, but is just worried it sounds either too European or too much like posing in general and wants to add some originality. My difference of opinion is that I regard that as simply trying too hard, despite it being a noble effort. Go with what works, go with the soccer naming tradition (arguably an asset to the sport), and go with Philadelphia United.
