Either Fernão de Magalhães (Ferdinand Magellan), Vasco da Gama, Henry the Navigator or St. Anthony of Lisbon (or of Padua), but probably Magellan. I doubt any of those three will be much remembered in a few centuries, their life's work didn't have that large an impact in world history.

I hate it when people claim certain people are Portuguese because their great great grandpa was a Sephardi Jew who was born in Portugal, moved to Spain, immigrated to the USA, married an Irish, kids married a Scottish and a german, etc.... At some point, the Portuguese connection is completely lost.
