Goff reported in the "Nelsen Offer" article that Alecko and Brian Carroll are losing their P-40/developmental status, but Fred, Nana, Stokes and Thompson are keeping theirs. So that answers that question. Not really surprising. For the record, I merely meant that I wouldn't have been surprised if Fred was graduated. It's sort of a cup-half-full-no-it's-half-empty approach to dealing with the selective application of the rules of Calvinball ... errrr ... I mean MLS roster politics.
Thanks for passing along the news. Personally, I really didn't foresee that decision about Thompson and Stokes ... so much for moving 23-year-olds off of Project-40.
Actually, it's Esky and Carroll who are coming out of P40 cap protection, according to Goff in today's Post.
