2-0 Lampard. I think in Moldova we've finally found a team 'technically' worse. Cleverly, Oxe and Baines have impressed.

I'll be damned if Moldova can come back from that. Though I hope we dont sit back and get sloppy.

Yeah, technically worse than some of the outfits in the paralympics :D

Edit: Actually I say that but some of those would make this lot look like Brazil as well. The keeper on the Defoe shot?

3-0. Moldova the worst European side we've faced not named San Marino or Andorra.

Milner can't even neat these Moldovan defenders. I've seen him play decently on occasion but sometimes he's not even good enough for a pub side.

The pressing / work rate is impressive. Something I rarely saw in the Capello era. Also Rooney doesnt usually do much work when we dont have the ball ,so his absence could be telling .

Yep, they've accidentally sent their blind team.

Anyone find it odd that in the blind football that the refs have perfect vision?

The more I've seen of the alternatives like Welback, (and to a lesser extent Defoe), the more unsure I am of his place in the team. He always carries the possibility of a MAJOR disaster with his attitude that will get him sent off.

In the Euro's we looked better without him in the France and Sweden games.

Lovely ball from Johnson for Lampard's header. England's most creative player.

That's like the joke that got that jock comic into trouble... he said he was gonna go to the paralympic blind football and shout at the ref for being a deaf c*&t :D

It's only Moldova, but it's amazing the difference a mobile, energetic and tactically aware player playing as the furthest midfielder can do for the shape of a side.

Making life hard work for ourselves now. They get a header that goes slightly wide.

In the world cup it was like playing with 10 men with Rooney. He tends to go on holiday when we dont have the ball.

Cleverly has been really impressive in linking up the play.

Even if he is our most gifted player, I don't think Wayne having to fight for his place would be the worst thing in the world.

Obviously Moldova are a tem that don't win very often (though tbf they usually keep the scoreline respectable), but still I'm pleased with the way that England have approached the game. We should've been playing this way a long time ago (keep it on the ground!).

Wilshere is England's most gifted player.

Rooney is still a great finisher. Not sure what other aspects of his game can be called great on the basis of recent performances. I would rather he didn't play at at all than play in the hole. The impact he has for England has been exaggerated for a while now.

Glen Johnson having his customary brain-fart there :( If he could lose that he'd be a great full back

I wonder if this to appease him or to rest Gerrard?

Yep, that was terrible. Certainly a great attacking full back.
