I wish people didn't buy this inferior package and instead talked the league into going 700 Kpbs for all games. If you buy crap quality, MLS will keep feeding you more of it.
They should just give us multiple speed options for the stream. They should even have better options than 700 Kbps. For $20 though you might as well take what you can get. I was order #1536. Anyone have an order number under #1000?
fyi, I just called the Customer service number to find out why I couldn't access the archived videos. They said that there are problems on their end for all subscribers, nobody can access them now (so if you are trying and not getting them, that's why). Supposedly the Houston game feed should work fine. I do have to say, it was fairly easy to get through (only had to wait about 2 minutes to get a live person). Hopefully that's the last time I have to call customer service.
it's working fine. question: do you have to pay the 4.95 for audio to or if you payed the 19.95is audio covered? Because I got to listen to radio for crew.
Anyone else tried to cut and paste the link into WMP or RP? I tried and it isn't allowing me to. I guess you have to watch it in the MLS Media Player.
why can't i get it to work? I subscribed #2017. But I can't seem to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.
Yep - it's working for me now as well. According to the website, you have to pay for the audio separately. I just tried it and it won't let me bring up the audio.
There's a customer service number to call: 877-557-3774 For me, I just needed to click on the video link from the Sights and Sounds page, and it brought up a login screen, and after I logged in it brought up the video.
Am I imagining things, or wasn't there a little note saying the free preview had been extended for this weekend?
Did you get a log-on screen? If not just try refeshing the page and clicking the link again. I had the same problem at first. That was for last weekends.
If it says Access Denied or something similiar it means the key in your URL has expired. You have to paste the link in shortly after starting the stream. Probably also need to stop the stream in the MLS Media Player window first as well. So in your case, you need to close and reopen the MLS Media Player window. Stop the stream, then quickly get and paste the URL in WMP or RP.
This Houston RSL feed is TERRIBLE! It is stalling every fifteen or twenty seconds. Either the audio or the video cuts out. Impossible top watch a game like that. This is typical of MLS live feeds of the past two years; I wish they had improved since they started charging.
unfortunately it's not that simple anymore, at least as far as i can tell. it uses javascript with 3 variables it's doable, but not for the faint of heart.
Hmmm ok, then I have new directions for Mac users to come. I did it, but a different way. Assumed it should work the other way.
2 things for mac users 1) the flip4mac plug-in appears to offer marginally better quality. i watched the first half in WMP and switched to flip4mac at halftime. quality looks a tad better. 2) for full screen, you might just want to enable the OS "zoom" feature a) go to your system preferences and select Universal Access b) make sure that "Zoom" is set to on c) press the apple option + key and your entire key will zoom.
