my supporters have reminded me that 4th at least gets them a Championship League spot. in no uncertain terms if you know what i mean...

    54 NYR KCW
    104 CHI HOU
    77 LAG RSL
    139 COL DAL

hey dred: do you have a link or a simple paragraph that will remind me of the exact scoring system again? i don't mean the perf stuff, but just what gets points (the bonus goals e.g., even ties, whatever).

Coming right up champ! Compliments of NoSix in week 1. Winnings-(Bet/2+Bet*Bet/500) something like that. All the layout could be useful.
Oh sorry! You get half for a tie and for every goal victory. You get quarter of the points. That means margin of two goals. In order to recieve bonus for subsequentials.
Lets go 7 o'clock move it!
Also the refs are in need of some fixin's. Soccer probably has least rules yet this shoving an oncoming player is not cause for Unsprortsman Like Conduct against both parties. That last FSC match. The rushing player need ejection and the shover could've used it... I wonder. Is there a perfect ref'ed match this season? I'll keep me eyes open on it. That is for sure.

That is how this game gettcha. 360+ points and you scrap -200 in a catagory. With the expansion, this catagory might have to be adjusted. It could cause some serious inferiority complex. I don't mind personally but I bet some doooo.

The status page link has an FAQ with all that.
Check the standings post of any thread for the status page link.

    But anyway, you win:
    0 points for a loss
half your bet for a tie
    whole bet for a win
one quarter of your bet for each additional goal beyond the deciding goal. (ie 5/4 bet bonus for NYR 6 RSL 0)

On the first post. There is a hyperlink to Freqeuntly Asked Questions. Basicly this game is to help track progress and tests your understanding of outside influences. There are 192 matches with like numbers. Player assigns a number to a match and hopes for best result. Then there are three catagories to help analyse outcomes which will all match up placement at end of year. Pretty cool to see matchmatics in operations.
If once you chose a number, it cannot be used again. In that initial first post. There is also a table of remaining bets. If you chose an amount, that you already played. It will go to the next amount (I think higher).
It is simple and at sametime hard. Most players fall out of contention and stop posting during season. I frequent these boards daily. So the oppertunity always presents itself...
