This is it, and I cannot decide if I am happy to have the regular season end so we can shift to the playoffs, or if I am sad that we're approaching the end of season sixteen. Count me as one who is sad the regular season is coming to a close. Where has the time gone? Still, a couple of great games the next 2 days, which will no doubt be filled with drama and excitement. Looking forward to it.
On my big numbers thread, teams that remain playoff eligible but that don't have any real hope of making the playoffs are called toast. Games between such teams are, according to Omar, Toast Bowls. ... And for the last time until 2012 ... How will Chivas USA disappoint me this week? ... though now that I think about it, I'm guessing Chivas USA will find some way to disappoint me again before the new year.
Toast Bowl, Blow Out Comb, Blown Tire, Wooden Spoon. This week/weekend, everything will happen, EVERYTHING! any other award I miss?
War, what's it good for? Count me as sad the season is ending, it may be the last ever time we see a balanced schedule in MLS, sniffle.
DCU: Hamid; Korb, White, McDonald, Woolard; Najar, Kitchen, De Rosario, Quaranta; Wolff, Davies. No Simms. DeRo and Kitchen in midfield. (And playing the Davies wildcard.) This is probably the strongest lineup DCU can offer right now.
Much, much rather watch this game, then Col in CCL. They don't deserved to be watched, given they don't take the damn thing seriously. Given CD9's lawsuit, let's go Timbers!!!!!
Kitchen is extremely calm on the ball. He'll fit in Klinsy's system perfectly after he matures a little. Love the kid.
I was on the phone and the commentator said something along the lines of... "DC United has acomplished so much this season" Really? Like what?
