What is MLS's drug policy? This may be a pointless meandering, but I'm pretty surprised how Ricky Williams has been treated by the media. Particularly ESPN keeps acting like he's a crackhead. Bonds and Giambi are tools, and steroids obviously is performance enhancing, but Ricky Williams is just rejecting a lifestyle he dislikes and embracing one he does. At least that's what I think. I'm curious if anyone else sees American soccer as somewhat further left politically and socially from the culture of other pro sports. I do, but I've never discussed it with anybody. Also, I could be way off on this, but I think there are probably a lot of dudes in MLS who smoke weed. Justin Mapp. I mean come on, that guy smokes right? Edson Buddle. DeRoserio. Almost all the guys I played with in high school did. Does anybody else think that ESPN is lame for treating Ricky Williams like they have? What is MLS policy on weed and how would everybody feel if this was an MLS situation and not an NFL one?
