At least some of the apps allow one payment for a year of service. One complaint I've seen is that the different UIs can be not the most enjoyable things to try to learn. Check your grocery store's gift card section. At least their gas discounts help to lessen the blow. And yeah, you're not the only one who remembers Netflix as an option. Nowadays? Good luck having just two apps. Everything is fractured to the point where it's ridiculous.
If I were in dire financial straits and needed to choose only one streaming service for the rest of my life, it would be HBO Max, hands down. Their catalog is the most extensive (especially after the Discovery merger) and the app has the best UI. Take your Netflixes and your Hulus and and your Peacocks and shove 'em - HBO is where it's at.
Their TCM section alone is ridiculously vast. Sadly, they did get rid of a lot of random stuff because *reasons* but whatever. It's still a fantastic service. Let's see what happens when this Discovery merger fully transpires.
What we really need is for someone to offer a service that just bundles all the streaming services together for one flat rate. One that has their own UI so you can just scroll through all the channels and pick what you want to watch. Maybe even a dedicated piece of hardware that hooks right up to your cable modem so that you can operate it with a remote control. How convenient would that be?
Kinda like a cable box? Or say, like paying for Netflix or HBO Max as part of your Hulu or YTTV bill?
USWNT breaking in the HBO Max era. USWNT had a goal disallowed on a not-that-controversial offside call. Julie Foudy didn't understand the rule. At halftime, DaMarcus Beasley openly asked what Foudy was smoking.
Saw a lot of people complaining about the stream quality - mine was perfect? Same thing happened when NFL started the Thursday night games on Amazon. I think people’s internet just sucks lol
No stream quality issues here either. It'd be nice to pause and rewind, but beyond that, no real complaints. It's quite refreshing coming from ESPN and Fox broadcasts with tickers, video of the coaches and rules experts, etc...to a relatively clean broadcast.
Yeah, agreed. I liked it. Need a little work on quick replays and transitions to and from the game play but that'll come with time.
The effect is compounded by the curved line of the set, but damn if it doesn't look like a scene from Elf.
