Thanks for the info, but since MLSNet says this happened during the season, and this is the Offseason Player Movement Scorecard I'm not going to add it to the list.

Was there a transfer fee, or is it a free transfer? I thought the only way they could get an allocation is if a transfer fee was involved. This was the rationale given as to why United got one for Convey but not for Nelsen.

Unless MLS changes the rules again SJ gets squat. Calliff is out of contract so the latest MLS rule would say they get nothing. No transfer fee = no allocation.

I always get a HUGE laugh when someone uses MLS and RULES in the same sentence....stop it you're killing me. The real answer to this question is who knows?

No, the real answer is that you don't pay attention and are wrong.

If FSL is paying $300,000 of Mathis' salary (acording to Ives) then Cunningham just became a $525,000 forward. Is he worth it in the land of poor service when one of the best passers on the team just left?

I'm still not sold on this being a good deal for the Rapids, but I don't think it helps FSL that much either. It just got that much harder for them to sign much needed help.

I suppose you can have a VERY long list under "Outbound - San Jose" and a somewhat shorter list under "Inbound - Houston." ;)

Thats what i was thinking, it wasnt that long ago he was playing for Maryland IIRC. He was also very solid. Should be a good pick up for someoine, as well as Hecto Quadros? Is that the number 10? the young play maker? He wasnt that bad.

Rusty's body doesn't seem to be able to cash the checks his soccer mind writes. Just about every season he misses a whole bunch of games due to injury. Thats tough for a teams in MLS with it's small rosters. If it were me I'd be looking at developing a path to my next career.

RSL just quietly released him near the end of the season. I don't think he has retired, to my knowledge anyway.

FWIW - it does say 'waived' on the list above.

The interesting thing about soccer and specifically MLS is that due to small rosters and small reserve teams size (thank god they at least have those and look at the impact (pretty good ) some of those players had late in the year) I think you could cobble togather a team from the waived list above and with one or two nice (read mid field Possession/Defensive euro and Creative Passing Offensive mid or Fwd [Foriegn Indoor A league or Other]) and get the right coach *** cough cough Hudson *** you'd have a fun team to watch and maybe make the playoffs

to any new MLS fans see Fusions tapes from a few years back now
