Since when do the Fire play Chivas USA on Saturday? Did they move to Cowtown?

    Chivas double header? Yuck!

    Go Fire!

(Yes, I know it's a typo - just givin' ya a little harmless, non-malicious grief).

I keep doing that because I'm too lazy to type the damn thing out and I'm cutting and pasting. Playing Columbus SHOULD be just as easy as playing Chivas USA though.

Per the Columbus bigsoccer page, they're having a bus trip for the DH. They should be easily identifiable in the stands, wearing paper bags and sitting near the "Sack Andrulis" banner. :)

At least we'll already know the answer to the question, "Columbus, why are you so quiet?"

    Later,

Nahh, the "Sack Andrulis" should be fairly audible -- you guys should join in the fun when you see fit.

Why? We are quite happy with Andrulis' work in Columbus so far.

I'm quite sure you'll be able to hear us sing "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way, oh what fun it is to watch Columbus win away." Despite all of Musab al Anclueless's efforts.

I swear, if I didn't know better I'd think Liam hopped out of his hospital bed, stole your password and posted that. But alas, he's probably still stuffing envelopes with scarves.

    What will happen first?
    1. Liam gets DCU fans their scarves.
    2. Adrulis gets fired.
    3. Crew go on a winning steak (3 games +).

I'm going with #2 unless Liam gets those scarves out before the ASG.

so what's more likely having 15,000 fans in SF for the first half of the fire game or a sell out for real madrid-chivas? My money is on the sell out.

I don't think either will happen, truth be told. If I had to pick one, I'd say the 15000 because eventually there WILL be 15000 people in the stadium while there will never be 66000 people there on Saturday.

    Sellout is only 61,000

If I'd have to bet, I'd bet on a sell out. If there isn't a sell out, it will be ONLY because they didn't do a good job marketing the game. Me and a couple of friends simply told some of our friends about the Real Madrid game, they told some of their friends, etc... and I ended up buying group tickets for 59!

I'm Romanian, and I'm positive that if they would've put an ad in one of the local Romanian newspapers (minimal cost) that Real Madrid is coming to town, there would've been at least 1,000 tickets sold just as a result of that add.

We'll be on your side of the states this week end. Can anyone suggest a sports bar in Milwaukee that shows MLS games?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

61,000 is only 6100 ford escorts. I don't think the park district will make much on parking. Traffic might not be that bad.

The Highbury should be a good spot.

Methinks there may be a new coach on the visitors bench Saturday. Press conference this a.m. in Columbus...this always happens to the Fire. It's amazing how many times a new coach's first game is against the Fire....and generally that is not good.

Local NBC affilliate in Columbus has confirmed that Andrulis has been whacked.

I would think Adrulis being fired is enough. Don't get greedy.

Wasn't the Fire Westerhoff's first opponent?
