I think the Union will win the tournament. Having the COVID Cup trophy next to that sweet IMG Suncoast Pro Classic Championship trophy as the only trophies in the case would be pretty on brand for the Union, IMO.

Though Elliott is awesome, too, so not really a dropoff except for 40-yard free kick ability. Love seeing Wagner back.
Karate Chopping a part of the new Curtin Strategy? Anyway, I like the spirit so far, even if everyone looks a little rusty. Classy move with the jerseys.
NYFC isn’t doing anything threatening yet. The Union have had the better of the offensive play. But the rust is apparent in terms of doing anything in the final third.
Totally relying on my youth soccer experience, a good portion of which was in the often sweltering heat of southern Florida, I expect the white kits could be a little bit of an advantage in the second half.
So clarify for me...3 opportunities to make 5 subs. Ilsinho ->Fontana, Martinez ->Creavalle. Can only do 2 players at each instance right? So Curtin now again leaving one spot unused?
After the subs and change in the tempo of the match, I was convinced that an equalizer was coming. But, then Andre Blake.
My initial thoughts: - Classy move by the Union with jersey names. - The players are rusty after a long layoff. - I love Martinez...that dude is a wrecking ball! Over/under on how long until his first red card? - That was a draw or loss without Blake...the more things change, the more they stay the same!
After standing in line at NJ DMV for an hour trying to get my daughter her first license and leaving empty handed because they had only gotten to #18 by 9:15 (we were #125). I needed something like this to turn my day around. Have no right to be this happy at this hour. Pandemic sucks but a win takes the mind off the worry for a while. Nice to feel anxious about something that really doesn't matter rather than all the things that do. And proud of my team wearing those names and not telling MLS ahead of time. Fun listening to Twellman trying to sort it out without being sure.
