Experts speak tomorrow, we will know more then (I hope).

I got 75 points, which is not bad, but a few bad choices. I am actually considering burning my early wild card pick this week (and will certainly do it next week).

I had Brad Davis, Tally Hall and Robbie Keane. Will have to drop one to get a goalkeeper, another for another attacking option if I don't go ahead with the wild card.

deuteronomy. Link your team? I wouldn't use the wildcard already. Especially since you got 76 points which is decent. It's only week 2. Plus MLS much more forgiving than FPL, with 2 transfers available to you most weeks. 3 if you take a hit.

I realize there are more blanks etc, but I wouldn't panic so early in week 2

I did the same exact thing but also had some Sounders players. I had to use my Wildcard to salvage anything in week 2. Ive prepared for all of the byes within the next like 5 weeks so I should be good now.

FloridaFC2MLS yes you definitely need to heed the schedule more in MLS. Not sure if you play FPL, but in comparison, MLS has many more blanks and doubles to navigate, and that's right out the gate. Who knows what additional scheduling adjustments will be made mid season. I'm pretty sure that's why they give you 2 transfers per week vs the FPL standard of 1.

No, ive never been into fantasy sports really. First time that im really trying to take it seriously. I didnt really think about the fact that there would be that many byes in the second week during that first week but then I noticed they were giving byes to CCL knockout sides now (which is smart).

@FL yeah no worries, that's why we play the game, to learn!

But now you have made the mistake once and you will not do it again. It was really smart of you to catch on and even though you had to sort your team using your WC, you have mapped your team out for the next 5 weeks.

Also, the polar opposite to avoiding having too many players with blanks, is to make sure you have the key players who have double game weeks. First two are GW8 and GW11

Made a big leap this week after having a solid week. Feels nice to be in the top 50. Next stop top 25!

I made Wondo my captain and had to laugh when he got the yellow card in the first half. I finally went to bed and he scored his pk to help San Jose win. I have enjoyed this game, now standing at 857 overall, up from 1937.

Very nice - are you talking about overall or in BigSoccer league?

I know I should know this but how many free transfers do I get per week? One or two? And if it's two, and I only use one, does the other carryover to the following week?

    BigSoccer league. I moved up from 67th to 43rd. Overall I'm a measly 6,449th.

Heh, after being ranked at 866 overall last round with 81 points, I figured that I was due for another rank dump after taking only 69 points this round.

Imagine my surprise this morning to find myself #2 in BigSoccer League and 47 overall. I'm looking forward to excellent competition throughout the season!

Actually it does, but you only get to carry one over and they don't accrue. I think this is a new rule for this year, but I'm a newbie so I wouldn't know about past years.

Thanks for the correction. I am new, also and this is certainly good to know. My apologies for the misinformation.

There are a few weeks where you get 3 (and playoffs even more). There is a schedule on the rules page.
