    Just announced:

HDNet To Provide Exclusive Coverage Of MLS Cup Playoff Games

NEW YORK and DALLAS - October 24, 2003 - Major League Soccer and HDNet have announced exclusive High Definition coverage of the MLS Cup Playoff series beginning with San Jose at Los Angeles on Saturday, November 1st at 10:00 p.m. ET live from The Home Depot Center. MLS Cup Playoff coverage on HDNet will run through the Western Conference Finals on the weekend of November 15th.

This exclusive High Definition coverage will put the finishing touches on the inaugural season of MLS on HDNet, which featured 31 regular season MLS matchups - more national coverage than any other network.

Announcers Glenn Davis and Marcelo Balboa will handle the play-by-play and color commentary for these games, as they have all season for HDNet.

These games will be broadcast exclusively for presentation in the highest quality 1080i High Definition format, giving viewers all the benefits of a 16:9 aspect ratio and high resolution picture.

HDNet will also produce a special MLS on HDNet Season In Review show featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the 2003 campaign, in addition to interviews with both players and coaches.

"Witnessing MLS action in the HD format brings an un-paralleled level of excitement and realism to soccer on television," said MLS Commissioner Don Garber. "HDNet has been an outstanding partner in bringing this breakthrough format to our fans and we look forward to continue showcasing this technology throughout the MLS Cup Playoffs."

"We're very excited to bring our viewers all the action of the MLS Cup Playoffs in High Definition," said Mark Cuban, co-founder and president of HDNet. "The response from viewers has been amazing. There is no better way to capture the action on the field, and the energy of the fans."

The live broadcast schedule is listed below (all times are Eastern). Please note that the schedule is subject to change.

A complete schedule of programming, including encore presentations and additional games as scheduled, is available at www.hd.net or at www.MLSnet.com.

Yeah, but if HDNet spreads, that number will go down next year. My cable company is in negotiations and know they have one 2004 subscriber waiting in line.
