don't take this too seriously. my criteria - age first, poor play second (obviously Fraser is doing well but 39 in 2005!)

    Washington, Moore
    Chung, Preki, Pareja, Jones
    Maisonneuve
    Fraser Llamosa Howey
    Meola

Bench: Oshionyi (just when he thought the job was his, sits behind Meola yet again), Lagos, Henderson, Ekelund, Kamler, Dayak, Powell

not showing their age yet: Onstad, Fraser (DOTY), Armas, Gutierrez (maybe), and maybe Thornton, Valakari. Some of the 73s are playing well but probably on downside. Sanneh has been up and down, not ready to retire IMO. Kreis gets last minute reprieve from my 18 by being RSL's first player.

can't really judge Washington so maybe SGR up in place or move Jones up top and start Ekelund (he might be pushed towards retirement)

obviously all these players aren't and shouldn't be retiring: GK's last forever and Meola is looking at Europe, Fraser is DOTY, set for at least one more year are Preki, Jones, and Chung. Moore likely to return if healthy (guaranteed contract). No idea about Washington.

players set to be 32 during 2005:

A list like this that doesn't include Nowak has no credibility.

Try reading it again, this was about players currently under contract in MLS. He hasn't been since early 2003. This is about players that maybe should or will CONSIDER retiring.

My bad. I took the "All-Retirement" part and ran with it.

How do you figure Robin Fraser should consider retiring when he was just named best defender?
