Galaxy one win on Sunday vs last place Vancouver from clinching a home playoff game. Pretty good shot at second place too looking at remaining schedules.

    Didn’t see that coming.

Colorado still somehow alive for a playoff spot.
THey need to win their two remaining games, and have both Dallas & San Jose lose theirs. Not likely, but possible.

Its amazing how results have conspired over the last several weeks to keep FCD in playoff position. They've been mediocre themselves for a long time. Portland's inability to win games at home has been shocking. San Jose is tanking. And Real Salt Lake has been totally inconsistent.

    RSL: @Hou, @Van
    Portland: @SKC, SJ
    FCD: @Colorado; SKC
    SJ: Seattle; @Por

    RSL will get in.

If you're a neutral, you want that Portland/San Jose match on the final day to be a "play-in" game in Portland. That would be fun. As an FCD fan I need them to beat Colorado this weekend. That would basically be clinching as both Portland and San Jose can't win on the last day.

Could also do it with a SJ tie, or Portland losing all of their games but we'd have to score in bunches to make up GD. You know, something like a 4-0 win over Dallas this weekend. ;)

Photo shows why last night's PK call was so frustrating.

I hope they change it to NYCFC @ New England both teams have more to play for than, DC and NYRB (already in playoffs)

I had the weirdest dream last night.

I dreamt the Loons made the playoffs. :)

Why I believe they announced it on Monday that it's going to be NYRB/DC. It's Thursday, game is on Saturday that's two days, if they can't get the FS1 crew out their, then maybe they could use the NYCFC or New England feed.

Absolutely. The two plays are similar enough that reviewing one and not the other feels unjust. For me, these are both clear fouls, and I would have been happy to see both reviewed. I'd also be willing to accept an argument that they're both not quite bad enough for review. But one and not the other? Yuck.

This game wasn't on the original schedule, this week is a flex schedule. FOX picked which will be aired on Monday, so they could easily change it to NYCFC/New England game. If they can't get their cameras there they could use the NYCFC or New England feed.

What's so cute about it? DC/NYRB nothing to play for, except for who finishes 4th or 5th. NYCFC/New England has NYCFC possibly clinching the #1 and New England making the playoffs.

    and

There probably will be 30k+ at the New England game.

Oh I just realized you're a DC fan, of course you'd rather have the DC/NYRB game.;)

If the powers that be thought NYCFC/NE was the more interesting matchup they would have picked it.

    They didn't.

No amount of cute hand waving you want to do will change the game to something you prefer.

The only thing I prefer is having a game with more on the line than the DC/NYRB.

There's even less on the line in the 7:30 PM national game. Maybe we should change that, too?

Yes, it should be, because the MIN/LAFC has nothing on the line. It should have been any other game except the LA/VAN.

I noticed he wasn't there in the second half when his team was choking. True fans stay for the whole match and sing even when they are losing

Disagree. Minnesota controls its destiny on second place. If they fail to win, the galaxy will control their destiny on second place and you better believe our preference is not to leave LA until MLS cup (assuming it would then be at Atlanta, New York or Philly).

I would need to see the replay on the non call again. My memory was that it wasn't a clear and obvious error as there was some jostling between the two defenders?

On the PK Call the attacker was clearly prevented from going up for a header. 100% clear.

Need to be careful with screen shots. But like I said, would need to see the replay again.
