Peter Vermes looking to work on gathering another data point in his effort to see if KC's annual September swoon is because his starters are worn out.
I wonder if Greg Vanney will sub Giovinco out before he is able to get his hat-trick again? Giovinco seemed to really appreciate that last time.
Both Kaká and Larin are playing lazy games today. Not really working hard at all. I guess I can forgive Kaká for it, as he is 35, but Larin? He simply has no excuse.
"That’s now 147 thousand that we’ve had at our first three games, which is an MLS record"@ATLUTD President @DEalesATLUTD #UniteAndConquer pic.twitter.com/b5HIliXHRd— Bally Sports South (@BallySportsSO) May 3, 2017 Getting a little shady in Seattle today.
It's halftime? and It's 2-1? My MLS Live feed keeps stuttering and stopping. I'm just now in the 40th minute. I think I've lost a good 6-7 minutes in just 45 minutes. Ugh.
Presently, Philadelphia would be third on the left and second on the right, with Colorado a couple steps back. That's not good. It's likely both teams will finish better than their opening games, but there's good reason for fans to be upset.
It's actually sunny today - and that's saying something after the rainiest 6 months on record! Personally, I think it's great Atlanta is surpassing Seattle in attendance. Just means the league is getting stronger and stronger!
Right. Unless he's poking fun at Seattle while mentioning their own success, it would take seriously thin skin to be offended. It's great that they're having success, and it doesn't take away from what has been accomplished in Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake, Kansas City, Orlando, Toronto, etc. Blank has every reason to be proud of his team and its fans.
Were it up to me, I'd only show the worst in the "modern" MLS, post shootout, post overtime era. But if I did that then people would get upset. So I give in to pressure and present the controversy. But, truth is, DCU 13 set the standard for abysmal teams. NYR was bad in '99, but mostly they were just unlucky in the shootouts. DCU in '13 was just straight up crap. Funny thing is, had Onalfo remained coach, I'm quite certain that worst ever "standard" would have been even lower. Which is why I have great hope for LAG this year. (SAVE CURT!)
I want to throw shade at Onalfo as much as the next guy, but Ben Olsen EARNED that record for futility. I mean, that was his THIRD full season as head coach of the team, so he has no excuses to fall back on.
You're right. I mixed up my shitty DCU seasons -- 2010 for 2013. Man, Olsen has been around as head coach forever.
