Starting this thread as a public service announcement. Your regularly scheduled Friday night MLS may not be available this week, and if it is, don't expect there to be a whole lot of fans in the stands. Current weather forecast for Philly tomorrow is a high of 38 with 1 to 3 inches of snow in the morning that will change over to rain in the afternoon. So even if they can keep the field clean and the parking lots plowed, it is going to be damp and cold. So either no game or few fans.
I just want to thank everyone for my 15 years here as of today and let you know that yes, I do need a life.
There are only 8 league games this week. Columbus, Toronto, Salt Lake and Seattle get byes. Home team first; times are EDT; all games on MLS Live and DirectKick unless otherwise noted. Friday, March 20 Philadelphia v. Dallas 7:00 pm UniMas Saturday, March 21 New England v. Montreal 3:00 pm Colorado v. NY City 4:00 pm Orlando v. Vancouver 7:30 pm Kansas City v. Portland 8:30 pm LA Galaxy v. Houston 10:30 pm Sunday, March 22 NY Red Bulls v. DC United 5:00 pm ESPN2 San Jose v. Chicago 7:00 pm Fox Sports 1
If you don't still post to rec.sport.soccer once in a while, you're just a poser on the "need a life" scene.
You haven't missed much, but I'm amazed that it still exists at all. In lieu of Usenet access, enjoy the photography of RPP: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jinju/sets/
Usenet actually had a recent renaissance since it's a fairly safe (anonymous and untrackable) way to pirate -- well -- everything. And it require a lot more knowledge than a t0rrent, which keeps it nicely underground, and thus safer that way as well. So I hear ...
RPP....is that handle of the Lech Poznan fan who turned every rec.sport.soccer thread inevitably into a discussion of WWII?
I don't know where else to post this ... Writing a tell all book-some people at US soccer are not going to be happy- several working titles but let's hear suggestions - whatcha got?— Eric Wynalda (@EricWynalda) March 20, 2015
Come on. How bad can the parking lots be when it rains and snows? Oh, that's right. That's what the parking lot looks like.
Since I'll be on my way to Munich when the Union game actually starts, and since it's practically Friday night here anyway, here's you're obligatory Bill Medley...
