So, that was definitely the best episode of Matador since last week's episode

Oh and we finally don't have any more SRFC games to hear about. Phew.

Here's what's on the docket (when was the last time we had 6 nationally televised games in one week?):

As always, please keep it friendly and neutral in the PBP thread.

Going by NBCSN start times that late Saturday night West Coast match won't end for those of us including me on the East Coast until around 1:30AM. Ouch.

In fairness, they had a game last week actually start at the initial time instead of the usual 21-23 minutes in.

Shhh! I haven't had time to watch it tonight. Definitely tonight.
Of course we have to talk about SRFC!

    Finally ...

How will Los Angeles Pobladores disappoint me this week?

Will the Rapids set a new team record for futility by not beating the Sounders? Probably.

By the way, I'm taking nominations for next week's Chivas TBD nickname ...

Seriously, that was the last one I've got on hand.

Redundant FC! A star above a crest consisting of a star.

I hope they change the shape of the crest to be a star shape also. Triple star!

Which immediately makes me think of New Zealand's national anthem, which contains the line "Guard Pacific's triple star".

And now for something completely different

Chicago starting a guy ostensibly used as a CAM all season at left back. This should be....interesting

I think TT should visit the Fire threads in Bigsoccer and then reassess his statement about the nature of Chicago Fire soccer.

Twellman should remember Stokes because he helped end his career. He shoved Stokes into Rimando during a game, and Stokes was visibly concussed after he got up. It's one of the many reasons why I have a strong dislike for Twellman the player; flippant comments like the one he just made give me a strong dislike for Twellman the commentator.

There's a reason he has just 3 goals in 70 games from an attacking position....
