I can't believe I'm the one who has to start the new Matador PBP thread for this week. Slackers. Here's what's on the docket: As always, please keep it friendly and neutral in the PBP thread. ELE, everybody love everybody.
I was waiting for someone to start the thread so I could be upset with them personally for not doing it earlier. Damn you @ImaPuppy. I hate you.
Normally I'd say that's disappointing, but tell your girl I still might be able to squeeze her into my calendar on Sunday.
Personally, i can't wait for the next episode of "who doesn't want the 5th spot in the western conference"
This happies me. So, yeah, let's talk about MATADOR! No exaggeration: that truly was the absolute best episode since the last one. Sausage Guy, by far the best character on the show was back (I hope not for the last time). Shit got weird at the end. I mean, really, unexpectedly weird. They couldn't have killed off Samuel, right? I was beginning to wonder how the show could keep going with things on the trajectory they were on. Now I see a few ways forward. Yeah, there have been a few shaky episodes, but generally speaking, that show doesn't disappoint. Which brings us to the question: How will LA Bimbo disappoint me this week? (I probably shouldn't have posted that name, or phrased it in quite that way. Oh, well ...)
Roger Goodell might have to start packing his office... BREAKING: AP Source: Law enforcement official sent copy of Ray Rice tape to NFL executive in April— The Associated Press (@AP) September 10, 2014
If you were putting together a list of candidates for next NFL commissioner, MLS's Don Garber would be on it.— Subscribe to GrantWahl.com (@GrantWahl) September 10, 2014 I'd prefer that didn't happen. Condoleezza Rice might be the better choice anyway -- for lots of reasons.

Spain disappointing in a world championship... it is 2014. ******** Spain. France over Spain in the FIBA World Cup in Spain!
This isn't even a matter of hiding anything. It has all been out there for months. With the American public, the lies and cover-up are always worse than the crime. Even if the league didn't see video from inside of the elevator, they had his reports and Rice saying what he did. There were accounts of the video inside the elevator months ago and if visuals were so important... there was the initial video that went public with him dragging her around. The NFL ********ed up and the Ravens have been a joke all along. Let's not forget the press conference where she was made to apologize... There's no such thing as a good person.
I can already imagine him doing crazy stuff like penalizing two of the most valuable franchises for multiple years for breaking rules that didn't exist because of owner collusion. Oh, wait... that already happened.
Has Garber ever really punished players for off-field antics? I realize that MLS players are hardly in the limelight like NFL ones, but surely somebody has messed up at some point? I can't think of anything off the top of my head. If the NFL is looking for someone more willing to drop the banhammer on players, I don't know if Garber has really demonstrated that during his time
due to injuries to Dunivent, Rogers (on bench though), Riley (on bench though) and AJ's family issues, the galaxy break out the 3-5-2 tonight We've looked awful this year in a 3-5-2 so we'll see...
It's driving me crazy that I can't pull what stadiums they are using for exterior shots. Why would everyone receive an update on their phone at the same time and what dumbass would turn to that coverage on the only television in the locker room (great job of disguising why they were using the same set) during that event?
