Agreed. They're so Jekyll and Hyde, and it has everything to do with who their center forward is. They were dominant earlier this year when Mullins was playing well, and they went in the crapper when his form dipped. They're playing well again now that Davies has found his game. Castillion in the long term???
Don't know about Castillion...................... What's amazing is that Lee Nguyen has been scoring tons of goals, but he only has a couple of assists this year. If he had an actual forward to pass the ball to, his stats would be gaudy. They keep trying guys, but nothing has really stuck. I'd be tempted to move Bunbury up top and start Fagundez there on the wing. In the playoffs somebody is going to shut down Nguyen, and somebody else is going to have to step up. The Revs now have a goal difference of.................zero. They're just a solid team all the way around with Lee Nguyen working his magic as a difference maker.
Revs getting back to that form they had earlier in the season when any team they faced was on comb watch.
Their midseason acquisition strategy seems to be something along the lines of picking up as many forwards as possible, so as to be able to plug in whoever's on form.
My thoughts exactly. Kept thinking I was watching a replay of some of the WC matches. He had a few of the same bad giveaways, and there was more than a few occasions where he tried to do too much and got caught in possession. Sound familiar? For TFC the issue is that the players in front of him were not seeing the runs in time, or when they did their horrible first touch killed opportunities. But they are looking to Bradley to make a difference in games like this and tonight at least, he didn't.
If I were Chivas, my game plan might be to get in the box, initiate contact, and dive. Every time. There's got to be more chance of a call going their way than them scoring a goal from the run of play these days.
As much as MLS says Chivas TBD will be around next year, you look at this crowd and have to doubt it.
Almost an awesome goal sequence for Dempsey. If you look closely to the replay, you can see the exact money that Hurtado's jockstrap falls to the ground. Man, is he just awful.
I see the flaw in my proposed plan for Chivas. Based on the first fifteen minutes, I don't see how Chivas makes it into the box for the rest of the game.
