MISL Expansion

    Indianapolis would also be a good market in terms of travel for Cleveland.

    There are plenty of former Twisters still around here. Maybe John Kluba would come out of retirement...

    Indianapolis like so many other markets has the fan base to support a team, but seems to lack anyone with the deep pockets to make the investment to market a team sufficiently...

    I think Chile Farias, Mariano Bollella and Neil Gilbert are the only ex-Twisters still active. I could be wrong about that. Kluba hasn't played in years. Though he and I were trying to get a WISL team for Indy before that went under - but the guy who was supposed to help bring the money together was a dolt and the supposed big investor never materialized and he wanted to pay a General Manager $8 an hour.

    That comment, though, was just wishful thinking on my part. I'm not sure professional soccer, indoor or outdoor, can work there, at least not targeting the so-called "soccer people" who are so fractionalized and self-interested, it's ridiculous.
