Of interest is that the Fire forum has a new thread titled "Worst Chicago Fire Decisions of All Time". Letting Magee come back to LA ranks number 4! http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/worst-chicago-fire-decisions-of-all-time.2029793/
Depending on how Magee performs, he could move up on that list. Haven't looked at their list, but locating in Bridgeview should be pretty high on the list.
I don't know if I can give much credibility to a list that has hiring Frank Yallop as only their 6th worst decision!
I was once mocked for comparing Magee to Messi: P/I/P #10 LA Galaxy @ Montreal Impact 5/12/12, 1pm PDT Two goals, 1 assist, 1 PK assist in 1 match.
How dare you? Boy if you ever compare that Muppet to the myth again! Not only can Magee play every position on the pitch, he moonlights as a golden globe winning A list Hollywood actor. What has Messi ever done?
So... everyone was demanding to know how the Galaxy could fit De Jong, Cole, and Van Damme under the cap. And now we know. They all took pay cuts for the privilege of playing alongside Mike Magee.
All yours. You could send Beckham to Hauptman and hed figure out how to disappoint and languish him on the bench
There's no loathing like self-loathing..... This reminds me of the 2007-2008 years when no joke about the Galaxy being inept was passed over as we wallowed in our misery.
Another small hint in this piece about why Magee opted for Chicago. If you recall, when asked Landon said something similar back when the trade happened. Paraphrasing, but it was something along the lines of "no one on the outside will know, but Mike had to do what was right for his family." http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2016/03/23/mike-magee-la-galaxy-chicago
