Your life as you have known it is OVER. But it will be better than anything you've ever imagined. You'll just be exhausted all the time. But that eventually gets better. Goddam, I don't do hard liquor very often, but The Glenlivet is some fine stuff. 56 years, boys. 56 years. That's 3.1111111111111111111111111111111 times Arsenal's drought without winning the league.
Willie Mays is the greatest baseball player that's ever lived. And his godson, I don't give a fukc what he did or didn't do -- he didn't do anything that every other major leaguer wasn't doing. Where I live, their greatest goddam hero has done federal time. I do believe I'm a bit drunk.
Other teams, other sports, who cares. So card me. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/11/01/SP7S1G5BQ6.DTL&tsp=1
This from a guy who's gonna get puked on, and be elbows deep in mustard yellow baby shit in a few months! Don't miss that, don't miss that at all. Mine are drivin', and the younger one is goin' trick or treating without parents. Good times. Good times. Comcast Sports Bay Area has got Willie on the phone! Can I say it again? I like The Glenlivet.
Christ, now that's all over I have to get all tense about the Ducks being #1. What has happened to my life?
Not true. Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz. Sorry to rain on your drunk (or now your hangover....) but the Giants are such a great story this year because they DON'T have an asshole like Bonds on the team. I have a lot of relatives in NorCal, so I was pulling for the Giants after they knocked the Braves out. But the fact that Bonds isn't there made rooting for them much easier to do.
As the father of a 22-month-old boy.....Imposter is absolutely right on all accounts. Congrats, dude!
In the cold, sober light of day, sincere congrats. Nothing I've ever done or ever will do means as much as being a dad. And Yoss, ain't nobody raining on my parade. Couldn't care less what anybody else thinks about anything today! And again, where I live they still worship the second biggest asshole that ever played the game (I think we can all agree that Ty Cobb retired the trophy many, many years ago).
still a God, I really dont care about any of that stuff all the old farts who cry about that would have used them as well, and they all cheated... that whole sport celebrates cheats... and Bonds just wanted his just due, he was getting ignored when he became the first player to ever have 400 HRs and 400 SBs because people were going crazy over those frauds McGwire and Sosa, who were bigger cheats than him... and how Bonds became the face of PEDs is disturbing since he wasnt the biggest benficiary and wasnt the worst offender Bonds is a GOD, the GOAT... throw your astericks wheverever you want but numbers show it
How do you determine who is a bigger cheat? IIRC when McGwire did andro it was legal and not classified as a steroid. He also didn't lie about it to Congress. I think it's fair to say he used performance enhancing drugs, but I don't think you can say he was a cheat. Sosa, OTOH, failed a test for anabolic steroids and also cheated with a corked bat (I was at the game -- a weird experience because no one in the crowd knew what was going on. I happened to be in a box -- the in-house tv station went dark, but WGN was showing replays of little rubber balls coming out of his bat). He was a pretty big phony -- props to Rick Reilly for challenging him to take a drug test. As for Bonds, the dude lied repeatedly about taking drugs supplied by Balco and is now facing obstruction of justice charges. You remember Barry your way, I'll remember him mine:
He set the HR record, the most heralded individual accomplishment in all of sports. That is why he will always be remembered as the biggest cheat in all of sports. It's sad that he did it because he was a five tool player and certain hall of famer. Bonds is a joke
