It's as if the internet isn't at your fingers or something..... Well this stat was relevant for all of two minutes. Alejandro Bedoya now has 5G/5A.That is his best single season goals/assists total for the Union. https://t.co/JEO4sAPvBL— Joe Tansey (@JTansey90) July 31, 2022 Alejandro Bedoya had three assists tonight, four chances created, 30-of-38 passing, 46 touches, 5 recoveries, 3 interceptions.— Jonathan Tannenwald (@thegoalkeeper) July 31, 2022
roldan is the leader/glue man in the lockerroom would it be the end of the world for him to have roldan's spot? the never ever for any reason should have to play spot
Bedoya and Bradley are 6 years older than the current oldest USMNT member and 11 years older than the core of the group. Yeah, what would be weird of randomly pulling out someone and inserting an old geezer like that.

I said bradley not bedoya but either way there is no way those last 2/3 guys on the roster are playing if Roldan has to play its over for the us I know people like hypotheticals though so here is one for you its the knockout round the us is going into pks against the dutch who would you want to take a pk roldan or bradley the answer is pretty simple to me and its not roldan
As constructed, would Yedlin be the only player in consideration for this roster with actual World Cup experience? It might be worth it for that reason alone to bring Bradley as #26.
Michael Bradley just played his 700th game for club/country. That's a helluva career. ................but there's no chance he's on this USMNT roster. Acosta has played 29 of our last 33 games. He's as much of a core Berhalter guy as there is, and will serve as the backup #6. [After Yedlin, he's the most capped player with a chance to go.] The last couple of roster slots are likely to go to guys that have been thru the qualifying wars. You're not replacing Roldan, Arriola, etc, at this point with Michael Bradley. Those kinds of guys could be replaced by somebody like de la Fuente, Ledezma, etc. if they're really excelling in Europe. I find even that unlikely.
I actually don't think Michael Bradley is as far down the depth chart as many US fans think he is, but it's still not happening, and if injuries get crazy enough I think you'd be more likely to play someone out of position there
If he gets called up again I will freak the ******** out. I can’t handle the trotting around, backpasses, and 6’ social distance defense/traffic cone/ole’.
I have to admit I would enjoy that part too I mean he'd be at best the third choice option to actually play and we'd be protected from the random roldan runout for no real reason also can you get that upset over the last guy on the roster I mean this team is going to start Long and Jesus in a world cup lol.
I can’t for the life of me understand why it got so trendy to hate Bradley. The guy played his ass off for the US in so many big games, and absolutely maximized his club career through hard work. One of the most capped US players ever, and it had nothing to do with nepotism. He’s been key in some of our best performances of the last 20 years, upsetting an incredible Spanish team in the confederations cup, backbone of the team at multiple WCs, led us to multiple Gold Cups, solid player at big clubs in Europe as well as MLS, even in his later years. He gets scapegoated for the terrible management by Klinsmann and Arena that led to us missing the WC. Put some respect on his name
Can a guy be loved and hated? There was a time where he was the heart of the team. He was, in my opinion the heart of the build up to WC 2014. I remember being so disappointed not seeing him live and in person because he was hurt (@ Costa Rica?) and couldn’t play home vs. Mexico in Columbus. But, the memory of him walking around in the run up to 2018 was awful. Was he the only one that didn’t give the proper effort? No. Was he a captain, coach’s son, and heart that looked like he gave up? Yes.
He has some of the most important plays in the history of the program and was highly involved as a top player in several of the most important outcomes. Though Landon’s goal against Algeria was wonderful to watch, had Bradley not scored an absolutely killer goal against Slovenia, we would have been eliminated.
Yeah, I agree. It was clear to me that wearing the shirt meant a lot to the guy. And, to your point, he was part of the team for some major upsets. Did things go south in 2018? Yeah. Does he deserve all the hate? Hell no.
Of course he doesn't deserve ALL the hate. There were quite a few, from Bruce to Jozy, , through "Own Goal Omar" and "Aimless Arriola" and "Dubious Darlington" besides, yes, the famously lackadaisical "Meandering Mikey" , who earned a share of the available hate for their role in the complete debacle that was Couva. In truth, the only one who played genuinely well was Pulisic [ with honorable mention to Deuce]...... But, in the allocation of "respect" to those who maximally did not give a crap as they crapped the field, , Mikey was "Prima inter pares."
He deserves my hate (not really hate, of course. Just sports fan “hate”). He was a large part of the failure last cycle. Maybe the biggest failure in the history of the USMNT? The locker room clique, lack of urgency, zero emotion, arrogance, the back passes, the 6 ft social distance/traffic cone defense. He was up his own ass while being total shit. He could have stayed in Europe to continue challenging himself, but instead chose the comfort of being a big fish in a lower league. He was shit for us after that. Keep him away from our team. In my opinion, he’s a cancer and represents a lot that was wrong last cycle.
I get it… I try (not always successfully) to focus on gratitude. I’m sure Couva plays in the back of his mind all the time. He probably carries that weight in a way that us fans cant fully understand. I’m happy thanking him for the memories and focusing on the positive. Being a USA soccer fan is tough enough. I don’t want us to become a fan base that “eats our own.” Again - I totally respect everyone’s POV on this topic.
I’d have a tough time saying he was shit in the 2014 WC personally, he started every match for us alongside JJ, and generally played his ass off, I think he covered the most distance on the pitch of any player at that WC if I remember correctly
