Fooking worthless, meaningless games. CONCACAF champions league? Worthless. Get rested, and get after the MLS Cup.
Heartbreaking match. We were definitely not the better side there. We had some good chances in the last 10 minutes. Credit to Minnesota for parking the bus effectively--and shutting down Nagbe. That wasn't fun to watch. No part of it.
I only caught the last 50 minutes. We were out-coached. Very, very dramatically out-coached. That said, this is a bit of a fake tournament. This doesn't matter for the league. The country continues to burn and fall apart. I can't blame the players and coaches for looking like they wanted to head home.
MLS better pray to god the MLB can get through their season, if not there is no chance of another MLS regular season match this season. Santos proved he is completely worthless and unusable on this team with Lucas on the roster. The Crew entered the tournament with the most depth they’ve ever had and left with arguably one of the worst benches in the league/
Thank you for your valiant attempt of making a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. And I say that because I’m skeptical that there will be a completion to the regular season.
Soccer happened. Minnesota got a set piece goal, bunkered in and sat on it, and defended their ass off. It happens. That said, we just looked lifeless. Even the goal we got was a complete gift; a penalty on a challenge that didn't affect the play and didn't need to be made. So, it's disappointing. After the group stage, it seemed like it was all setting up for us. But, like I said once already, predicting an MLS knockout tournament is a fool's errand. We still got our nine points.
