One of the few First Division matches being played this morning. I would guess Marcus to start.

Shorey slammed to the turf, undercut. It's in the box and a PK to Reading. Foul came after a free kick that led to a series of shots and scrambled saves. Hughes settles the ball. Saved.

Reading are controlling play. Stats show them with 70 percent of possession. This sounds the best we've looked under coppell. But no goal, of course, so what's it matter.

1-0 reading. Salako finishes. A well-deserved goal. Reading have been in total control. Goater, forester, shorey, all involved.

Sorry to sound like an echo, pething101. You might toss in a comment on how the coach you stole is doing. As a reading fan, of course, I wish him all the luck...

Reading are relentless in attack, still. Milwall are brutal. Announcers are still on about a foul on Newman that led to a Milwall yellow.
But it feels like a second will come. All MH has to worry about is the counter.

Yea, I was on the phone with the little lady, so my typing and listening ability was a bit impaired. Sounds like Millwall is up to old tricks, playing very hard with some tackles flying in.

A lively game so far, some rash tackles, a missed PK and a Reading game.

And Dennis Wise has yet to make an appearance.

Okay, and when they counter, MH can't run around 40 yards out of the goal, slipping on the field and waving his hands about like a ponce. Sheesh.

Miwall misses from eight out and had MH beat, dragged it wide. ``that one has to be a goal if you're going to play this system. Hopefully for us, that will be the only one they get today,'' says steve brown, in the announcers box today,

HT 1-0. Reading still in command. MH sounds as if he's getting bored and not laying off the mind altering substances.

Bit harsh on reflection. MH does have two saves and a shutout going. but from about 35 to 40 minutes, he lost his focus/mind.
This is not a game reading should lose. But we have found ways in the past.

Goater misses with a header, just wide. first few minutes are more of the same. Reading still controlling.

Salako misses. Minute passes, Sidwell misses, etc, etc. Everyone is shooting. Surely a second looms. MH is distributing well, though brown is whinging, ``sometimes you want him to hold the ball and he sends it 70 yards downfield to the striker..''

I'm off. Reading dominating free kicks, shots, possession. But milwall looking better lately. Be disappointing not to get three out of this game. shouldn't happen, but could.
Hate to leave the machine, but my daughter is stranded across town.

Just to close the loop, Reading win 1-0.

Having watched the highlights, I was stunned at how poorly he timed his 40 yard run into neverland. He never had a chance. Barring a very poor touch and then trip over his own foot by, I think Iffin or something like that, MH would have given up a tap in to make it 1-1.
Now, a missed opportunity cannot count against a keeper, but I'd hoped he'd take off on a string of play similar to what he produced late last autumn. Saturday's game was like too many this season, lacking concentration, confindence, etc. He's shown he can dominate in this division. but right now he worries me.
