    Honestly, that's more media invention than anything else. It's the same way as calling the Dallas Cowboys "America's team" despite not having been relevant for the last 25 years.

    It's always been about Titles plus fanfare. Those 4 big teams are because they are the biggest teams. Otherwise Toluca would be a big 4 but they don't have much fans outside of Toluca. And it's not just in Mexico. It's why the Dodgers are a big national team and not the Athletics or how nobody will think the Spurs are one of the big teams in basketball.

    I agree but that's precisely why I didn't include him in my first XI

    I often wonder how much better he could have been or how much longer at the top he could have been had he taken better care of himself... Duse loved to party way too much... More than the partying though, he appeared as though he no longer loved football...

    That day when the Bernabeu gave him a standing ovation... that gave me the goosies...

    Maybe it'll include a friendly in June? Spain will be looking for pre-Euro opponents (no UEFA WCQ in the June 2021 window); and with Concacaf having a two-week window, Mexico can shoehorn that game in before finishing the Nations League.
