EloRatings.net is updating real time. Mexico has climbed to 6, one away from their all time highest ranking. (And the US has slipped below Paraguay.)
Hats off El Tri. Got to admit I did turn back to the match after I found out Uruguay had leveled, couldn't resist. Don't see what Uruguay was arguing about after Rafa's goal, seemed legit to me on the replays. As far as the national anthem mess, here's what USSF should relate to the City of Glendale and the State of Arizona...if and when the USA does get the 2026 World Cup, do not bother submitting an application to be a host. Period.
Two illegal goals and all the help of the referee made this match between Mexico and Uruguay a great shame for soccer fans!!! The second goal of Mexico had a hand ball from Rafa Marquez and the third goal both players were not in a legal position but the referee did not see. The only legal goal for Mexico in this game it was the one the soccer player did! kkkkkk Watch carefully the game and say if I am wrong!!!!!!! So sorry for Mexico, win in this way is a shame!!!!
Better sleep than watch a referee win a game for Mexico!!! Next time I hope they have an European referee at least they are honest!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What comforts me is even if Mexico pass to the second stage of the tournament they have no chance against Argentina or Chile unless the hire another referee to help them !!!!! kkkkkkkkk Shame!!!!
Have to agree on the last 2 mexico goals, hand ball on goal 2 and offside on goal 3. Goal 1, the own goal, was legit though.
Juan Carlos Osorio: Uruguay's José Giménez tried to attack him after the game. Curious to see what Giménez says. https://t.co/GtEIWx9BBa— Subscribe to GrantWahl.com (@GrantWahl) June 6, 2016
People are on crack, I swear ... Marquez goal ... 99% of refs will not call that a handball. First of all you can barely see it even on replay. He barely grazed it. It was accidental. His hand was in a natural position. And most importantly it didn't gain an advantage since the ball was going in that direction anyways. Herrera goal. I watched this in slow motion several times and it's very close. I'll admit the camera angle isn't perfect, but it looks like Raul Jimenez's foot is in a direct line with the ball so no offsides. When it's that close the linesmen are instructed to give advantage to the attacker
Thats some racist sh.it bro Btw Mexico played really really good, the fact that you guys score two more just when the game got complicated talks a lot about the players character, specially since you guys did it to somebody like Uruguay a team known of having big ass guevas of steel. So congrats! Just dont get over confident because this just started, but really great game, I enjoy it
I watched the Marquez goal and surrounding events (corner kick before that Uruguay complained about)10 times on rewind and I still can't see a handball. Post it up if you have pictures/gif video showing it. But to me it looks like the sort of play that would never get called even if it touched his hand somewhere/somehow. Maybe if Uruguay focused energy on defending rather than protesting they wouldn't have been scored on.
We actually didnt play good. We had so many so many. Imprecisions that ended in almost two gols by uruguay. Our delantera wanted to play like barca for some reason making fast touches that went nonowhere .Our bandas were the only ones doing something. If it wasnt for that early own gol that discombobulated urugauy things could have been different and Uruguay was much better than Mexico when they had ten man.
