Yes, through balls and long shots are essential, especially when the balls are as swervy as they are now. It is sad to me that during SGE and with Pardo, Leandro, Guardado and Arce all playing, knowing how good they are from distance, rarely did these guys turn it loose from the outside. He needed the rest. I have no issue with that. He doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. Aguirre needs to find guys to take the pressure off of him.

Agreed. He hasn't had much to stop, but he's stopped what he should have. Although, he was partly (not very much) to blame for that one goal.

 

i think what austin23 is trying to say is that he has been pretty shaky, not necessarily in these last four games, but in previous matches with el tri, and his performance in america.

agree with those changes. although it is obvious that vasco is trying to go with a consistent lineup. i really doubt he'll start two guys who haven't played at all this entire tourny (vela played what 10 minutes?), even if they are way better than sabah or bravo.

also, what does he see in ismael rodriguez? this guy doesn't even deserve to start on america. i'd rather see duenas or topo over this douche.
