35 minutes in, game's been accurately described as "scrappy," and aside from our GOOOOOAL, we've been controlling a lot more of the ball...SJ looks out of it

San Jose look lack luster? Not hungry? Eric Wynalda thinks so.... Metros are missing 4 players due to injury / suspension...

    Quakes score
    foul is called on them

    goal doesn't count

i think wynalda makes a valid point there, clark just lost the ball in the midfield which led to an attack led by ekelund...osama managed to clip leitch a bit to get a loose ball in the box and megged walker but the goal was called off

yea, roner just came in high on jolley as the ball was going over our goalline, definitely unnecessary...jolley then pushed his head into the ground a bit, roner got up and they exchanged shoves...roner yellow card, waibel's got one too on an earlier foul

lets hope SJ crowd's BOOOOOOOOO doesnt inspire the quakes too much...what do you think so far NYR?...i think its important guevara and gaven develop a chemistry quickly with each game, and there's been a few flashes of that so far, especially on the goal

Nah, it's not that. He couldn't start a thread because he's been carded, so I started it for him.

^^^ yes but they moved the yankees game from espn to espn2 to not miss any of the game. They should have had the whole soccer game on and the yankees should have been joined when the red sox game was over.

Who would've thought with this bunch eh?

Metros haven't looked great, but a lot better then the Quakes. I like the way they look defensively but they gotta move the ball a little better. Guevara looks like he's back to form from earlier in the season.

i wonder if whoever at MLS HQ thats responsible for dealing with the TV deals, bothers bitching at ESPN...how embarassing to have the same god damn baseball game on both ESPN channels

...as for the game, its been a good effort, this particular lineup hasnt really played together so to be up on the road at that sandbox of a stadium against the league leaders is fantastic right now...it must suck for edgar to have to go back to playin wingback after having success on the leftside of our midfield...also, i think regan has been alright, don't think he was planning on starting in our midfield at this point of the season...i'm a harsh critic of clint, and while i dont miss him and his antics one bit, unfortunately his potential to actually contribute at the level he can is better right now than magee and woly starting up top, so i think he'll be back in the starting lineup...second half is on, says somethin jusko still cant crack the starting lineup, i dont want this guy cutting into magee/woly minutes in the future
