See anything about the game last night? Newsday Sunday had a 3/4 page article/picture of last nights game with an actual staff writer. Below this article was an AP WWC article. Kudos to Newsday for this one...... Must have bypassed the Sunday editor
If you can pick up the Newark Star Ledger they do a fine job.On Tuesdays they have a good section dedicated to the MLS an International news check it out.
Link to the aforementioned Newsday article From Jonny Walker: It notes that the first Metro shot was in the 50th minute. Seriously, that is a fking joke.

Where's the usual gem of a press release rewrite from Ives Galarcep/JerzyRebel? Maybe he was too tired from a long week of hiding behind an Internet message board name deciding who is a "moron" and who should be "shot in the head" for having and posting their own opinions on Big Soccer to bang one out last night.
Yeah Dierdorf was talking about how it was a full weekend of sport at the Meadowlands. He mentioned a big soccer game last night, Jet's today and Giants tomorrow. Then he said thank goodness for field turf which based on the awful sod from last year I might have to agree. Three straight games like that along with the downpour would have killed it.
wow. To be honest I am shocked that they even mentioned that there was a soccer game there last night. Not that anyone could tell by the lines on the field. I guess it would have been too much for him to mention it was a metrostars game ehh? lol
