I was talking to Texas football legend & former UT coach Darrell Royal yesterday on the phone. At the end of the conversation, I spoke to him of this problem child I knew from Norman who was way too high on his Sooner horse, and that it would be great if the Great Coach could muster up some smack for said problem child that I could pass along. This is what he said: "You tell Mike that he comes from a fine school and a fine tradition. But remember, son -- the eyes of Texas are upon you." (I know- it's not much in the way of smack, but the guy's like 80 freakin years old and loves the world.) Anyway, Mike- that's a real, personal message from Darrell K. Royal to you.
