Would anyone be interested in meeting fellow posters (threaders?) while in SA? I know it will be a logistical nightmare but there might actually be a morning that everyone is in Jhb or Pretoria. I would like to meet some of the regulars - Whisker, dj grizzly, supaeagles, Ric Braz, DanielS as well as Emmex, Pule and Dailyupload etc. Best is to pick a date or 2 and to start seeing who is available. A neutral venue would be between Jhb and Pta or a familiar spot like say MonteCasino. Any takers?
hey my name was included .lol i am in. my dates in joburg are - June 18th - june 21st(my birthday, yes a nice cake would surprise me. jk ); june 23rd - june 25th and july 1st to july 4th Would like to avoid meeting on june 18th and july 4th since those are the days I will be getting into SA and leaving SA. We could even meet at common matches in Joburg.
I don't know if you want to include foreigners in the meeting But I'll be in Pretoria from the 10th to 13th June, then 16th, 17th and then 23rd, 24th and for the final Would be nice idea to set a place and a date

Well ,since Pule suggested it to me elsewhere and I suggested it to Gronum then I suppose I'm in June 20 we're going to Brazil v Cote d'Iviore at Soccer City and it seems an ideal day for Jbg. June 25 before Spain v Chile in Pretoria June 14-16 in Durban June 26 -Rustenburg We do this all the time in Melbourne,its been a great success.Come one,come all
I'm only in Joburg on the night of 11th June. Rustenburg 12th and maybe 26th Cape Town 13th, 14th and 18th Port Elizabeth 16th, 17th and 23rd Durban 24th and 25th Nelspruit 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd Is anyone bright enough to set up an offline spreadsheet/data base???
I guess it makes more sense to meet in the Joburg area since a lot of folks are going to be there (atleast the ones who replied in this thread) and also considering the fact that Pule and Gronum live in Gauteng province. Like "X" suggested I dont mind meeting on June 20th since I am also going to Brazil vs Ivory Coast. If there are more people going to this game, pls respond but it will also depend on Pule/Gronum's availability on that day. My $0.02
Yup - am not flying to Cape Town just for a beer! Not one day is perfect so far - waiting for more replies then will probably suggest 2 days - 20th, 24th or 25th looks the best so far and the 11th for early birds.

Based in Sandton from 6/13-7/1 - supposedly "The Brazen Head" is a 1km walk from my place, so Id imagine that I'll be a semi-permanent fixture there
POlokwane is just over 2 hours away from Joburg and it shouldn't be a problem espeically if you driving in a car.
not renting a car. dont intend on driving in SA. Have to rely on special FIFA buses on matchdays if they are ever going to come up with a schedule. Damn FIFA Org committee.
